Nova Arts Summer Camps are recognized for their elite level of training and professional standards. Our programs are respected by agencies nationwide for developing confident, technically strong, and industry-ready young actors.Each summer, talent travels from across the Southern region to train with us — including actors from Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and beyond. Comedy On Camera
Laughter meets technique in this high-energy, on-camera comedy camp designed to help young actors develop timing, confidence, and authentic comedic instincts. Many young actors struggle with overacting in comedy auditions. This camp teaches restraint, control, and clarity — skills that casting directors immediately recognize as professional.
Self Tape

Great for Repped Actors!
This camp goes beyond just “how to film a tape.” Actors will train in preparation, decision-making, and confidence—learning how to stand out, handle redirection, and approach auditions with a booking mindset. Emphasis is placed on what casting directors look for and how to present yourself as a professional, bookable actor on camera.
Channeling
Emotions
Actors will learn age-appropriate techniques for channeling emotions such as fear, anger, sadness, joy, and vulnerability while staying grounded and emotionally safe. Through guided exercises, scene study, and filmed on-camera work, students will practice bringing authentic emotional truth to their performances without forcing or overplaying moments.
Make A Movie
Students will collaborate to create a short movie from start to finish. They will explore character creation, basic script work, blocking, and on-camera performance while learning how scenes are filmed in a fun, supportive environment. They will experience what it’s like to be on a real set, learning how to listen, take direction, and work together as a cast. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to try, play, and create.
